Principal's Message

The Singapore International Water Festival (SIWF) is a platform that brings young people together, celebrating our achievements in the world of water since 2009.

In our continuing role as educators in managing our water resources, schools, institutions of higher learning and industry will be drawn to focus on the need for efficiency and cost effective solutions to address water problems amidst a constantly changing environment.

Singapore Polytechnic is therefore glad to join PUB in organising SIWF, for the third year running.

SIWF will be held in conjunction with the Singapore International Water Week on 2 July 2011 during which nearly 5,000 students, organisations and members of the public will stage performances and compete in water events at Marina Bay.

This year the event features new activities such as skating, kite-making clinics, inter-SP cluster dragon boat race and joy ride on river taxi. We hope these will engage our youth in taking their role seriously in conserving the environment.

More than anything, we hope SIWF 2011 will continue to attract responsible citizens of the world as they champion the cause in effecting change and address prevailing water issues.
